Tips For Correctly Researching Your Family History

  1. Set an objective - focus on a particular story about an ancestor and aim to uncover any information relating to them.

  2. List facts you know - make notes - a lot of notes.

  3. Identity and cite your sources - be sure you list all the data in the source in case you need to return to it later.
